The paradox of motherhood

I hold you,
Feed you,
Rock you,
Love you,
But I miss my sleep.

I watch you,
Walk you,
Cuddle you,
Love you,
While struggling about losing me.

I clean you,
Bath you,
Calm you,
Love you,
Sometimes wishing for a 5 mins break.

I carry you,
Swing you,
Hug you,
Love you,
While my postpartum body aches.

I touch you,
Kiss you,
Cure you,
Love you,
Never knowing what the next hour brings.

I love you,
Love you,
Love you,
Love you,
Truly more than anything. ❤️
