Mom: I have never felt this exhausted.
Voice: Hey, you’ve got to get going... you need to enjoy every minute of being a mom!
Mom: But I haven’t slept through a night in years.
Voice: Has it been that long?
Voice: Oh dear, I completely lost track of time...
Mom: You know I also have aches and pains everywhere.
Voice: What can you do? Gotta keep going, Buddy! The others on the playground look so fresh and well rested, you must be doing something wrong...
Mom: I think I also changed a lot, cannot recognize myself anymore.
Voice: Hmm, I noticed that you look... well... much softer. You could probably use some gym-time to get you back in shape.
Mom: To be honest, I don’t have time or energy to work out.
Voice: I am sure you can fit it into your schedule somehow. You don’t really do much apart from being a mom and going to work. It’s only a matter of willpower. Others easily do it, I saw it on social media.
Mom: Really? For some reason I feel like I’d rather sleep or lie in bed instead.
Voice: Well, if you want to keep up, you need to push yourself. Come on! It’s time to bounce back... like yesterday.
Mom: There are days when I feel that can’t go on like this any further.
Voice: Oh, don’t be that negative Debbie Downer! If you say this to someone else, they might think that you are depressed.
Mom: What if I am depressed?
Voice: Come on, you can’t be depressed! You need to enjoy every minute of being a mum.
Mom: I think you already said that...
Voice: But what can you do? Gotta keep going, Buddy! The others on the playground look so fresh and well rested...
